FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS HOW DO I KNOW WHAT IS FOR SALE? All items, gift certificates and donors will be listed on the website as they become available. It's possible some additional items may arrive the night of the event. HOW DO I BUY AN ITEM? You may use your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express the evening of the event to purchase any item. Admission into the event is $10. Huntington Bank will be swiping credit cards on site that evening. All checks should be made payable to the Lupus Foundation. HOW DO I DONATE MY ITEM Bring all your items to the Country Club of the North from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, or 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17. From there, we'll take a photo, document the item and its condition and determine the donation amount for your item based on the condition and market value. You will receive a tax deductible note from Lupus Foundation of America, Cleveland Chapter, supporting the Cincinnati, Dayton and Cleveland areas. If the item does not sell it will be donated to a future "Got Wedding Stuff" event. WHAT IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE? All physical donations and gift certificates to the auction itself are tax deductible. Appraisals for used items will be made on site based on current market value and not necessarily what you paid for the item when new. Purchases made that evening are not tax deductible to the buyer. You will receive all receipts that evening. CAN I RETURN AN ITEM? All items are sold on an as-is basis and all sales are final, no exception, since they are being sold at an auction. All items must be taken that night or they will be forfeited to Your Dream Day LLC for future Got Wedding Stuff events. WHAT ITEMS DO YOU ACCEPT? Items accepted include, but not limited to: Wedding favors, frames, cake serving sets, cake toppers, placecards, silver bells, ribbon, favor bags, vases, centerpieces, treasure chests, birdcages, wishing wells, votive candle holders, candles, chair covers, sashes, linens, tiaras, veils, baby tuxedos, flower girl dresses, silk flowers, frames, photo holders, easles, tuelle and bubbles. Our stuff comes from brides and wedding vendors alike! WHEN WILL ITEMS BE ACCEPTED? Items may be dropped off at Country Club of the North from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, or 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17. Pledges of items or gift certificates may be called in advance by calling Your Dream Day at 937-746-4617 or by submitting them online. CAN WEDDING MEMBERS WHO ARE NOT EXHIBITING A TABLE AT THE EVENT DONATE TO THE AUCTION? Absolutely! Your name will be mentioned in the auction by your donated items and in the bidding program. As with any other bridal show, any vendor seen aggressively handing out business cards to brides at the event will be asked to cease immediately unless they are exhibiting. IF I BUY A DRESS, WILL YOU TAKE CARE OF ALTERATIONS AND STEAMING? No. We will refer you to an alterations person that can help you. WHAT IS LUPUS?
